SO Pilates Terms and Conditions

Welcome to SO Pilates!

By booking a class, you automatically agree to the below Terms & Conditions.

Joining SO Pilates

All new clients must attend an induction session, whether in a group or 1:1 setting, before participating in any classes at SO Pilates. These are designed to familiarise you with our studio and equipment, to ensure your safety during workouts, and to show you how to purchase further credits and book onto classes.

Induction sessions can be booked via our website.

All new clients must be aged 18 or over.

Membership and Fees

All class credit purchases and class bookings are made in the StudioBookings app.

Free class credits included in our induction offers are available once only per new client. These are non-refundable, and not transferable to another client. They will expire 1-month from the date of the induction, and will be added onto your account on StudioBookings once you have had your induction.

Prices of class credit bundles and monthly packages will be determined by the Company and details will be available from the Studio, on the website and on the StudioBookings app.

Payments for class credits in any amount are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise.

Class credit bundles

When you purchase a bundle of class credits it is a one-off payment and will not renew automatically.

Class credit bundles are a one off payment and will not renew automatically. Each package has an individual expiry period. Please check before purchasing.
Classes must be attended by each packages expiration date.

Monthly rolling direct debits

Our monthly packages will renew every month, they are a rolling direct debit. If you choose one, you will be on the bronze (4 credits p/m), silver (6 credits p/m), or gold (10 credits p/m).

Monthly memberships will automatically renew at the end of the month. To to cancel your monthly rolling membership, you must give at least 1 months’ notice in writing to info@so-podiatry.co.uk

Bookings and cancellations

Client’s can only book sessions for themselves, with any bookings being done via the StudioBookings app, unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to change teachers at any given time without notifying the client. It will be reflected on the schedule as soon as possible.

SO Pilates offer 24-hour cancellation policy, which provides a fair opportunity for all clients to attend at a time suitable to them.

To prevent loss of class credit, a class booking must be canceled at least 24 hours before class start time. If the class is canceled 24 hours or more before class start time, class credit will be returned to your account.

If the class is cancelled less than 24 hours before class start time, class credit will be forfeited. This is for ANY cancellation reason including, but not limited to, sickness, injury, traffic and transportation issues.

Classes will not run if there are less than 3 clients booked in.

If you are on the cancellation list and cannot make it you must remove yourself from the cancellation list – if you are auto selected for the class you are waiting on, the same notice of cancellation is still applicable.

Waitlist procedure

We operate on a first come first serve basis. Clients can add themselves to a waitlist for a full class.

If a spot opens up, due to cancellation, etc the first person in line gets added to the class automatically. If a second person cancels, the next person in line on the waiting list gets added.

The system will send an email letting you know you are off the waiting list and are now booked in for the class. If you are not added to the class, those still on the waiting list when the class starts will have their credit that was used to go on the waiting list automatically refunded.

Health and fitness

In joining SO Pilates and attending classes, clients agree they must inform studio staff of any health conditions that could affect their ability to participate.

It is a client’s sole responsibility to notify the studio before attending any induction/class of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the Studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since any previous classes. Clients are not advised to undertake strenuous physical activity without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition and wellbeing.

Any client that is pregnant, must inform the studio.

The studio reserves the right to refuse, at its absolute discretion, access to any client if it considers that the health and wellbeing of such client may be endangered by the use of the studio facilities.

Any client that suffers and accident or injury at the studio must immediately report such accident or injury, and the circumstances in which is occured, to a staff member at the studio.

From time to time during any induction and/or class, studio staff may physically adjust a client’s form and posture. If any client does not want such physical adjustments, they should inform studio staff at the beginning of each session.

If a client does wish to receive such physical adjustments, it is the client’s responsibility to inform studio staff when an adjustment has gone as far as is necessary or desired at the time.

Safety and hygiene

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the studio.

Clients must use the main entrance (front door) when entering or leaving the studio. Fire exits, which are signed, should not be blocked in any way. In the event of a fire, client’s are asked to make their way through the fire exit.

In the interests of safety and hygiene, no crockery, glass, or food are permitted in the studio, only water.

Other than the exception of guide dogs, no pets are permitted in the studio spaces.

Client’s should attend inductions and classes in comfortable, fitting exercise clothes. You should attend with gripped Pilates socks, if you don’t have any, they are available to purchase at the studio.

Hair should be securely tied back, to ensure the workout can be performed safely.

Client behaviour

The studio reserves the right to expel, suspend for a specific period, or refuse any further classes, of any client where, in the studio’s opinion:

-Client’s conduct may in any way harm the studio or the business-

-Has breached these Terms and Conditions-

-Such expulsion or suspension is otherwise in the interests of other clients-

Any client expelled or suspended will not be entitled to any refund for any period during which their membership has ceased or has been suspended.

Client’s must not attend any induction or class under the influence of alcohol or drugs and entry will be refused in such circumstances.

All clients must follow the instructions of studio staff at all times.

No photos or videos are permitted to be taken of the studio, or the studio’s staff members, without their prior consent.

Client’s must keep mobile phone and smartwatch use to an absolute minimum and any phone or smart watch brought to a session must remain on silent throughout and must not in any way disturb the session. If at any time this cannot be followed, please inform your instructor at the beginning of the class.

Class attendance

All clients are required to be signed in by the instructor before commencing a class.

If you are more than 10 minutes late to a class, you may not be able to attend. This is due to consideration of the trainer, other clients, and the importance of a warm-up. This decision will be at the discretion of SO Pilates instructors.

SO Pilates and its instructors reserve the right to restrict clients to certain classes or exercises in view of best practices and safety for the client. We also reserve the right to refuse client participation in classes who require medical clearance to exercise and do not provide appropriate supporting documentation.

Personal belongings

Personal belongings  that are brought to the studio are entirely at the Client’s own risk and the studio accepts no liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to any such items.
