Stephanie Owen, Director

MSc, BSc (hons), MRCPod & HCPC registered CH14161

My name is Stephanie Owen and I am the director and owner of SO Podiatry. First and foremost I am passionate about helping the people of Worcestershire to better understand their foot health in order to move pain free. I am a qualified and highly skilled Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatrist, HCPC registered, with over 25 years’ experience both in the NHS and private sector. My special interest areas are gait analysis, dynamic function, footwear and tissue stress, and I am member of the Royal College of Podiatry and MSK:UK

I am a qualified podiatrist with a MSc in Clinical Biomechanics (Staffordshire University 2010) , BSc (hons) in Podiatry (Queen Margaret University College 1999) and PgCert in education (National University of Ireland Galway 2009). I teach and deliver educational sessions to health care professionals on podiatry biomechanics and since setting up my Worcester based clinic, SO Podiatry in 2017, I also present to running clubs and specialist sports groups on foot health and education.

I have previously worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham within the Sports and Exercise Medicine Department (SEMS).

I believe continual professional Development is key to being able to deliver the best in care for all my clients, so I attend regular conferences and workshops to keep up to date with all things Podiatry and ensure I am using the best technology, backed by science, available.

I love competitive sport (watching and taking part) and have wide experience in sports working with the gently active individual, team player and fun runner right through to the elite athlete. Whether you take your dog for a walk daily, play 5 a side football or netball, are marathon training or perhaps you are climbing Mt Everest I can help you.

I am dedicated to my profession and I strive to deliver the best in care through all aspects of foot health, from general practice (Chiropody), nail surgery through to cosmetic Podiatry including prosthetic toenails.

My deepest passion is in Podiatry biomechanics and I know that with excellent assessment and expert interventions I can help everybody achieve their goals.

In September 2025, I will further expand my knowledge by pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Rehabilitation. With a forward-thinking approach and a commitment to enhancing people’s well-being, I am set to make a significant impact in the field and in clinic of sports therapy and rehabilitation.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I enjoy staying active by attending the gym regularly, which helps me maintain both physical and mental well-being. I’m also a passionate supporter of West Bromwich Albion, following the team home and away, i have covered many miles on the road filled with highs after a win and lows after losses! When it comes to unwinding, my favourite escape is traveling to Fuerteventura, a place that holds a special place in my heart with its beautiful landscapes and relaxing atmosphere. These hobbies keep me balanced and allow me to recharge outside of my career.

Natalie Cooper, Clinic Receptionist and Administrator

Business Management (Hons)

Hi, I’m Natalie and I’ll be your warm welcome when you come into the practice!

As an enthusiastic, caring, and approachable individual, I bring a wealth of experience as an administrator and receptionist. My background includes working in animal attractions, where I thrived in customer service, administrative, design and marketing tasks. After much reflection and with the arrival of my little boy, I decided to make a industry change, seeking a new challenge and fulfilling role that allows me to focus on a balanced work-life routine—no more weekends, hooray! I’m really enjoying my time here and I’m learning lots about the practice as I go.

Outside of work, I love socialising, retreating to the coast for peaceful weekends (well, as peaceful as they can be with a toddler and a dog!) and exploring new places with my family. I’m always on the go! I have also ventured into the creative world, owning a small business where I create watercolor paintings of animals and dinosaurs, for use on children’s products and clothing.

With my caring nature, attention to detail, and ability to connect with people, I am excited to bring my skills and energy to my next challenge and I can’t wait to meet you!

Jen Sands, Virtual Assistant

Hi! I’m Jen. I love all things admin. I know right, someone’s got to! I work remotely supporting Steph and the team at SO Podiatry with all things admin, email marketing, and website development. Over the past 15 years, small businesses have worked with me to grow, improve their efficiencies, and enjoy their business again.

I’ve always been an admin-bod, and if something needs creating, systemising or managing, I’m just a message or phone call away! Away from work, I’m kept busy with my 3 children, crazy Whippet, and my husband who runs his own carpentry business (yes, my admin skills are put to use there too!). I also LOVE to play Netball and do so at least once a week in Norwich.
